Within the GSC Europe Procurement organization supporting Electronic Components categories, we are looking for a Category Buyer.

We are an international team of 8 members, positive, result oriented and with high customer mindset.

The job is based in Budapest (Hungary).

This offer is for you if you are...
  • A Procurement professional (3-5 years) with proven track record within a complex environment.
  • Good knowledge on electronic components and the supply market.
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure, self-motivated.
  • Able to identify and manage priorities.
  • Customer focused.
And you have...
  • Developed strong analytical skills with good knowledge on Excel.
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to react fast and effectively in difficult situations.
  • The ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing/transforming and complex environment.
  • Previous experiences within a matrix organization are a plus.
  • Technical or Market knowledge on electronic components is a plus.
  • If you do have basic knowledge of finance, even better!
Your missions, should you choose to accept them:
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers of electronic parts (such as passive components, semiconductors, modules), representing approximately 10 M of yearly spend in Europe region, across all clusters.
  • Be accountable for the procurement in your perimeter.
  • Manage the supplier relationship (directly or with category management team).
  • Support the plants procurement execution.
  • Lead local supplier negotiations, and actively participate and contribute to global supplier negotiations.
  • Identify improvement opportunities (Re-designs, Changes of Suppliers) and follow the implementation with plants and Lines of Businesses.
  • Monitor the suppliers KPIs and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Execute the category strategy in the region by developing the regional APOP (Annual Procurement Operation Plan) and executing Supply Base Optimization actions.

Occasional travels (6-8 weeks/year for team meetings, supplier visits and business reviews, negotiations).
