We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Energy Transition F/M, reporting to the Head of the Electrical Equipment Department of our teal based in Paris - La Défense (Nanterre, 92).

About your team:

Within the engineering division of Technip Energies' Paris office, you will report to the Electrical Department.

With 60 years' experience in energy project design, the division is made up of 600 people representing all the disciplines present on our installations (>20).

About the mission we offer you:

You will participate in the engineering and design of projects carried out by TEN France for the Group's various Business Lines, decarbonized solutions (Carbon capture, H2, Wind), LNG or biofuels. On these projects, most of which are export projects, you will interface with teams from other disciplines within Technip Energies (project management, procurement, construction) as well as our mainly international partners.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer - Energy Transition F/H, you will be involved in the engineering and design of projects carried out by TEN France for the Group's various BL, decarbonated solutions (CO2 capture, H2, Wind), LNG or biofuels. On these projects, most of which are export projects, you will interface with teams from other disciplines within TEN (project management, procurement, construction) as well as our mainly international partners (customer, vendor, value engineering partner, etc.).

You will be involved in the design and implementation of international renewable energy projects. You will work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural project teams, and will be responsible for developing schematics, supporting costing and executing renewable energy projects (wind turbines, electrolyser for hydrogen production, solar farms, etc.).

Your main tasks will be as follows:
  • Pre-project and FEED phase:

- Draw up project single-line diagrams
- Participate in and review project time and cost estimates.
- Participate in the definition of execution diagrams (service limits, schedules, etc.) between Technip Energies, its partners and suppliers during the proposal phase.
- Perform preliminary calculations using electrical calculation software (DIgSILENT, ETAP, etc.).
- In the execution phase, within the renewable projects teams:
  • In the realization phase within the renewable projects teams:

- Write specifications, data-sheets and requisitions for electrical equipment specific to renewable energy projects (wind turbine, transformer-rectifier, photovoltaic panel, BESS...) and follow up after orders are placed.
- With the purchasing department, participate in the selection of the equipment best suited to project constraints (technology, schedule, cost, etc.) and monitor the schedule and cost impact of modifications to the equipment order.
- Support the network calculation teams to meet the specific requirements of the project
- Participate in various technical contract reviews (HAZID, eHAZOP, design review, contract review).
- Coordinate with installation specialists for installation activities related to renewable equipment requisitions
- Provide assistance to the inspection department during factory acceptance of systems (FAT).
  • Within the department:

- Monitor technological developments in renewable energy equipment, in particular by participating in various forums (CIGRE, etc.).
- Monitor changes in standards relating to renewable energy installations and equipment.
- Assist proposal teams in clarifying technical issues with customers during the pre-project and implementation phases.

+ :

You will have the opportunity to participate on site in the installation, testing and start-up phases of renewable equipment.

About you:

  • With a degree in electrical engineering, you have at least 10 years' experience in engineering or design, including 5 years on various renewable energy projects.
  • Flexible, rigorous and dynamic, you are a team player who thrives on contact with different cultures, people and environments.
  • You speak English fluently and are mobile enough to travel in France and abroad.
  • You are at ease with basic office and IT tools, and your mastery of an electrical simulation tool (Digsilent, ETAP) would be a plus.
