We are urgently hiring for a PERMANENT role to be based in QATAR.

Our Chemical client based in Qatar is looking to hire a "HSE Trainer".

The HSE Trainer is responsible for delivering induction and safety training to all new personnel and contractors, ensuring task-specific safety training for turnaround and shutdown activities, and maintaining the competence of the Emergency Response Team. The role also involves providing expertise in fire prevention and risk management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, or equivalent.
  • Safety Management Systems / Fire Instructor I / NEBOSH / OSHA Certificate, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at an oil & gas or petrochemical company holding a trainer position.
Required Skills:
  • Facilitate the delivery of the company induction and familiarization film training course to all new employees, trainees, service contractor workers, auditors, and visitors.
  • Coordinate the issuance of access cards in collaboration with Security post safety induction training.
  • Ensure workers involved in turnaround or shutdown activities are safety inducted and trained for specific tasks such as working at height, confined space entry, PTW, and fire watch and attendant roles.
  • Provide and coordinate ERP emergency response training to refresh employees annually, ensuring compliance with ERP procedures.
  • Ensure all personnel are fully trained in emergency response preparedness Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), competent, and capable of conducting their roles successfully in compliance with ERP.
  • Provide regular training sessions to Emergency Response Team (ERT) members to ensure their competence and capability in their roles.
  • Assist in developing Pre-Plan scenarios that provide guidance for managing common and high-risk emergencies at organization.
  • Provide specialist technical and practical expertise in fire prevention strategies, risk management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, and food safety initiatives to prevent or reduce loss through recognized safety management techniques and systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all HSE training and induction activities.
  • Submit regular reports on the status of the HSE training program, analyzing trends, and providing recommendations on areas for improvement
  • Ensure adherence to organizations safety, quality, and environmental standards to guarantee employee safety, product quality, and environmental compliance.
