🔨 About the Role:
In this role, you’ll assist the WHS Advisor in promoting safety across projects, provide expert advice to supervisors, conduct audits, manage WHS data, and lead safety initiatives. You’ll play a critical part in creating a culture where safety is a priority, acting as a Safety Ambassador within the Cadia Projects team.
 
Location: Orange, New South Wales

Roster: Typically, Mon-Fri but rotating roster – 5/2
 
📋 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert WHS advice and promote safety across projects.
• Monitor and analyze WHS data, incidents, and trends.
• Conduct audits, safety inspections, and risk workshops.
• Support managers with Chemical Management (Chemalert) and incident investigations.
• Deliver WHS training sessions for staff and contractors.
• Maintain WHS system documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.

 
🎓 Qualifications & Experience:

• 10 years of infield experience in mining and/or construction.
• Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum).
• ICAM (or similar) investigation certification.
• Experience with WHS management systems (ISO 45001), Aconex, and SharePoint.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Current Driver’s Licence.

🤝 Key Relationships:
You’ll collaborate with WHS Advisors, Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, and Statutory Bodies to ensure a proactive approach to safety.
