We are currently seeking a HVAC Engineer, reporting directly to Building Section Head to join our Building Engineering team based in Italy, Rome Operating Center.

About the opportunity we offer:
You will work inside the Building Section that is in charge of the management of industrial building design.
Key interaction of HVAC engineer is internally with site, civil works and other disciplines technical specialists and engineers, other operating centers; externally with Clients/Partners (technical specialists), Engineering Subcontractors, Construction Subcontractors
The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Preparation of HVAC Project Specifications, design of HVAC System producing calculations and related drawings.
• Ensure timely reporting on engineering activities to the Building Section Head.
• Ensure proper communication within building and civil works team and with other disciplines (e.g. Process, Electric, Instrumentation, Firefighting, etc.) for management of interfaces.
• Review and apply Client Project Specifications and Standards.
• Meet quality and HSE objectives of the project.
• Check design of building HVAC System and relevant deliverables provided by Contractors.
• Monitor design progress of Contractors and ensure timely and qualitative preparation of project deliverables.
• Assure that check of Contractor documents incorporates comments by all other involved disciplines.
• Capability to work in an international context and availability for short and long abroad missions.
Starting Date: second quarter 2025

Qualifications: Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
Languages: fluent in Italian and in English
Main skills:
• 2/3 years of experience in the development of conceptual, basic and detailed engineering of HVAC system for industrial buildings, preferably in the energy and petrochemical sector - Oil & Gas.
• Experience in HVAC design using 2D, 3D modelling (such as Autocad, Revit etc) and thermal calculation software.
• Capability to perform its work on time with the required quality level.
• Capability to ensure interface communication with other disciplines and to bring technical solutions to the project.
• Attitude to problem solving.
• Creation of tools for automatization of data management.
• Attitude to perform the work in a team, in an international and multi-cultural environment.
• Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach.
• Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Sharp eye for detail and capability to complete tasks on time with the required Company quality level and a high level of precision.
• Availability to international mobility for either short or long term assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in the same role, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
Nice to have:
• MEP systems knowledge
• Ashrae handbooks knowledge
IT Skills:
• strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel)
• AutoCAD
• Revit
• Microstation
• SmartPlant 3D (nice to have)
• Navisworks
• Calculation software for thermal calculation (Carrier HAP or similar)
