We are currently seeking a bilingual Warranty Manager reporting directly to the Commissioning and Startup Deputy Operations Manager to join the project team based on-site in Ensenada, Mexico.
About the Job
The Warranty Manager reports to the site Deputy Commissioning & Startup Operations Manager. This position assignment will be based on-site in Ensenada, Mexico and is expected to last approximately two (2) years. This position will provide management of all warranty issues with equipment and material until closure of such warranty claims.

This position will provide management of all warranty issues with equipment and material until closure of such warranty claims.

Your main missions and responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:
- Consolidate with the support of the site team on the list of the warranty claims filed against Vendor, Subcontractors or Company as required
- Following up on all actions to be taken to ensure all equipment remain under warranty periods in line with the main contract requirements
- Ensure the Mobilization of Vendors representation (under their warranty obligation) as required, and ensuring timely arrival
- Coordinate actions towards the Vendor including but not limited to notification, actions plan to address the warranty issue in case of repairs or procurement
- Establishing and Maintaining log for all warranty items, following up on them up till closure, and issuing weekly reports to project management on the progres
- Expedite with Vendor and ensure that the issues are resolved within the project time schedule
- Report to the Project team about the progress and concerns
- Analyze warranty claims, handling client complaints, anticipate and know the risk associated with the scope then mitigate them
- Provide technical and administrative guidance to the onshore team to ensure aims and objectives are effectively achieved
- Administer Project programmed to ensure implementation is in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
- Preparation or review of all warranty specifications for the equipment.
- Gathering, compilation, and organization of all support data and technical information required to properly substantiate, submit, and recover warranty claims.
- Interface with contractors for gathering acceptable computerized or manual data.
- Interface with maintenance system administrators to develop data entry programs for capturing warranty data from Maintenance Divisions.
- Closely interface with Maintenance Managers to ensure failed parts are returned with proper information to the warranty parts holding area for disposition
- Verification that all new equipment information is entered into computer system for warranty tracking.
- Interface with managers, engineers, quality control inspectors, training instructors, and outside contractors to gather information and organize the vendor specialists to restore the components and material of defective equipment.
- Organize root cause analyzes upon equipment failure and identify the rectification party.
- Follow-up action plan up to repair or replacement of the defective parts.
- Organize preparation and execution of the scope of work (Home office and site) in respect of Project HSSE rules
- Ensure respect of operability and safety at all time. Intervene in respect of protecting people and asset at all time.
- Establish and maintain effective communication between the site start up group and office support groups.
- Ensure regular communication with Operating center process team for plant parameters and adjustment
- Daily coordination with construction, operations, subcontractors, clients / partners, engineering and maintenance teams to identify issues
About You

- Practical-minded safety advocate with excellent organization/ leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum of 15 years' commissioning and start-up activities on LNG projects
- Bilingual ability to communicate in English and Spanish
- Must have recognized technical qualifications for the position
