The NES Fircroft Chicago office is seeking candidates for a great long-term job opportunity with a globally recognized oil & gas organization at their brand new petrochemical complex in Monaca, PA as they are seeking Pressure Equipment Integrity Engineer. This would be one year contract with opportunity for extension or fulltime employment. This role will support the base PEI Group by providing technical expertise (equipment integrity management, repairs, and project development, etc.) for pressure vessels, piping, and storage tanks.  The position will assist our multidisciplinary team in devising and implementing systemic solutions for operational and technical issues.

Job Details
Location: Monaca, PA
Hours: M-F—40 hours per week (occasional OT may be needed).
Duration: 1 year with possibility for extension or fulltime employment
Pay: $70-$80/hr. Per Diem will be considered for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide PEI related technical support to the Process Unit/s in order to ensure the projects, ideas, and solutions generated are technically sound as well as in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Identify and define improvement opportunities and provide technical assurance during the development and implementation of resulting projects and recommendations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting efforts for specified issues, especially those associated with pressure equipment.
  • Participate in the prioritization of production threats and opportunities via an internal database (MTO).
  • Provide technical guidance for the mitigation of MTO issues and stay actively involved in the execution of the solution.
  • Provide causal problem-solving capability in support of Site reliability performance.
  • Provide technical expertise for Incident Investigations, especially those issues associated with pressure equipment.
  • Provide or update technical documentation to ensure knowledge retention, continuity, and organizational learning.
  • Works as an autonomous Discipline Engineer, translating established guidelines and standards into practice and solving common technical challenges.
  • Works within company standards and policies as well as guidance from company Subject Matter Experts.
  • Ability to act as a Technical Authority for site management of change and projects.
  • Integrates discipline activities to achieve delivery through a defined process.
  • Performs tasks within design, operation, or maintenance of facilities/plant, interfacing with stakeholders and maintenance contractors, as required.
  • Manages the relationships with multiple (groups of) internal and external stakeholders on tactical level while maintaining a 'Learner Mindset'.
  • Support the MOC (Management of Change) and PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review) work processes providing technical assurance for changes to pressure equipment (vessels, piping, tanks, etc.).
  • Ability to identify and perform (as an individual contributor or within a technical group) fitness for service assessment in alignment with industry standards on pressure vessels, piping components, and storage tanks.
  • Develop proactive technical monitoring plans for equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Must have 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, Process Engineering, or other equivalent.
  • Must have at least 2 years of dedicated experience working with pressurized equipment such as piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, etc.
  • Must have strong knowledge of API codes and ASMI standards including API 510, 653, 570, 579, 650. ASME Section VIII, B31.1, and B31.3.
  • Experience working with PV Elite or other Pressure Vessel, Caesar II or other pipe stress analysis software would be a big plus.
  • Candidates local to the Pittsburgh, PA region would be a big plus.
