JOB DESCRIPTION

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking full-time Senior Field Engineers (4) to join our team for a short-term six (6) month assignment for multiple CO2 capture facilities near Lincoln, Nebraska reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Our Client prefers a Mechanical Engineer/ Civil Engineer/ Project Engineer/ Construction Site Engineer with Construction Field Site Experience. Preferably 10-15 years experience. Will manage site construction activities, manage contractors, expedite equipment/ material on site arrival etc. Project Reporting

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles, project management, and field operations. This role involves overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. The Senior Field Engineer will play a critical role in the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Manage site construction activities, contractors, expedite equipment / materials on site arrival etc..
  • Prepares and ensures project reporting requirements are completed timely.
  • Responsible for technical oversight of site mechanical and/or civil engineering work
  • Interface with offices to coordinate planned engineering deliverables, materials and equipment needed for site construction
  • Assure subcontractor activities are controlled within operational requirements, coordinate and report interactions to maintain the integrity of the mission
  • Review subcontractor submittals (drawings, data sheets, test plans, etc.). Verify, conduct and/or witness acceptance tests
  • Provide constructability input to the Project design group
  • Reviews and interprets drawings and specifications to determine if information is adequate for successful completion of construction, maintains dialogue with design engineering to assure designs are delivered effectively and constructible/maintainable
  • May develop or assist in construction work packages including design drawing direction, sketches, material requirements, inspection requirements, and all documents required to allow craft to perform work scope efficiently and in compliance with all contract requirements and regulations
  • Oversees construction work for compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes/standards
  • Performs constructability during design preparation and execution
  • Maintains direct relationship with Construction Managers/Superintendent and the responsible Project Managers to execute the scope of work
  • Provides technical support in all phases of construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and project closeout
  • Maintains records of installed quantities and completed construction work
  • Participates in obtaining any required permits/clearances, lockouts, and work authorizations prior to commencing work on site
  • Performs verification of work in progress to ensure requirements of safety, security, quality (technical drawings and specifications), environmental control, workmanship and schedule are met
  • Generate activity reports and periodic summary report then transmits completed files to Project Records or records management, as necessary, upon work completion

About You

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
  • Mechanical/Civil or Construction Engineering Degree is preferred
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve situations independently
  • Completes assigned task under minimal supervision and technical direction
  • Prefer 10 -15 years construction field site experience in mechanical and/or civil engineering background
  • Flexible with ability to work 50 hours per week for six (6) months and drive to multiple job sites.
  • Manage challenging situations effectively and adapts to varying work situations
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English.
  • Proven experience in project coordination with a strong understanding of techniques in mechanical, civil and construction field activities.
