Job description

In order to participate to our growth of Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are
looking for a Subsea Survey Specialist H/F. Rotation 4*4

Survey Contract Representative:
  • Oversee and manage survey contracts, ensuring integration of survey services and adherence to
    contract terms.
  • Review and process invoices, control costs, and measure key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Track and manage non-productive time (NPT) or downtime.
  • Evaluate survey services performance and report non-compliance to management and
    stakeholders.
  • Conduct onshore and offshore site or vessel safety inspections.
  • Uphold safe work practices (SWP) and participate in hazard identification and risk assessment
    (HIRA).
  • Ensure job safety analysis (JSA), toolbox talks (TBT), save your life actions (SYLA), and start work
    checks are conducted.
    Survey Subject Matter Expert:
  • Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders requiring offshore and onshore geophysical,
    geotechnical, and geomatic survey services, including Facilities Engineering (FE), Subsea, WELLS,
    Geology & Geophysical, Asset Development, Marine, Supply Chain Management Logistics (SCM),
    Municipal Services, Emergency Response, HES, Security, and others.
  • Assess stakeholder requirements, liaise with existing survey business partners, or source new
    potential suppliers to request, receive, and evaluate technical and commercial proposals.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders and engage with relevant subject matter experts to ensure
    appropriate expertise and develop or review scope of work and procedures.
    Survey Schedule and Coordination:
  • Manage and coordinate survey activities, including those for emergency response, ensuring
    procedure and project execution plan reviews, appropriate technology, best survey practices,
    compliance with company engineering standards, and quality, plain-language reporting.
  • Review and distribute reports, coordinate with SCM Logistics and Marine for vessel availability
    and suitability, and create and manage survey schedules for vessels, equipment, and personnel to
    optimize surveys, minimize costs, and avoid re-work.


Data and Mapping Services:
  • Act as Data Steward for FE/Subsea, capturing and centralizing all survey data.
  • Manage relevant FE/Subsea GIS maps and data, ensuring regular updates and publication of
    accurate maps both online and physically to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure online availability of survey data via the GIS intranet site and that all vessels, barges, and
    rigs operating in the concession have up-to-date maps showing asset locations.



Profile

We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:
  • Degree or equivalent in hydrographic survey.
  • Accreditation such as International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO) Category A Surveyor, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or similar.
  • Extensive field experience as a surveyor.
  • Experience as a Client Representative managing contracts.
