About The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated new graduate to join our team as a Thermal Engineer I. The role involves collaborating with a lead engineer to build and run simulations, perform thermal design calculations, and prepare technical documents such as data sheets and requisitions for process heaters, hydrogen reformers, and ethylene crackers on awarded projects, studies, and proposals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare engineering calculations, primarily for refinery heaters, reformers, and ethylene cracking furnaces as required.
- Develop data sheets and requisitions for refinery heaters, reformers, ethylene cracking furnaces, and deNOx/SCR equipment and auxiliaries.
- Uphold Technip standards of quality, applicable codes, and industry standards and practices.
- Follow up on completed projects, including start-up and performance guarantee tests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological trends.
- Maintain a high professional profile.
- Participate in development projects as needed.
- Possible domestic/international field assignments may be required.
About You

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering.
- Less than 2 years of working experience. Internships and coops are not considered towards this experience.
- Possess engineering knowledge in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and combustion.
- Experience in the design of fired heaters, deNOx/SCR equipment, and/or CFD modeling is beneficial but not mandatory.
- EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is encouraged.
- Coding and AI knowledge is not required but is an advantage.
- Candidate must be enthusiastic and motivated to learn.
- Willing to work full-time in the office for up to the first year, transitioning to a hybrid schedule thereafter.
