Key Duties & Responsibilities:  


● Be a strategic business partner to the CN Taiwan MD and leadership team.

● Lead on the Taiwan execution of global financial strategies, goals, procedures and initiatives.  

● Help identify, evaluate, structure and drive new revenue, profit and cash flow opportunities.  

● Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the Company and Finance team.  

● As a member of the wider global Finance community and leadership team, influence  global finance strategy and decisions, by providing insight, recommendations and best practice.  

● Prepare and present all aspects of financial reporting including strategic planning, budget, re forecast and monthly reporting, working with other functions to deliver output in an accurate, timely and insightful manner.  

● Ensure full transparency into the financial and non-financial performance, with meaningful analysis and recommendations.  

● By having a deep understanding of the levers and operations of the business, support and drive leaders of each brand/function to achieve and surpass targets/goals.  

● Work with leadership to support the evaluation and decision-making on new initiatives,proposals, or investment decisions, and on subsequent performance if they proceed.  

● Provide proactive advice on how to grow revenue, manage costs, and improve short and long term financial performance.  

● Manage and improve the delivery of Controlling activities according to agreed and/or best practice standards, controls, processes, and accounting policies.  

● Responsible for compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, including audit, tax filings and statutory reporting. Own the relationship with the local external auditor.  

● Provide Finance policy and accounting guidance and interpretation as applicable.  

● Manage treasury activities including efficient cash management, cash flow reporting, banking relationships, etc.  

● Manage all direct and indirect tax activities and filings.  

● Lead and motivate the team, ensuring that all staff receive appropriate support, training and development, and that team and individual goals are established and performance monitored.  

● Lead, initiate and/or participate in activities that aim to improve the operation of the Finance function, including ensuring the successful implementation adoption of new processes,controls and technologies.  

● Identify and effectively communicate potential risks in a timely manner.  

● Across all elements of the role, look to continuously improve and enhance operations and activities, striving for the highest standards.  


Qualifications: 

● Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence executive level individuals successfully.  

● Strong business acumen and commercial understanding.  

● Ability to influence and manage change and deal effectively with change management initiatives.  

● Ideally experience in media companies.  

● Experience in designing and delivering transformation.  

● Integrity, assertiveness and the ability to build rapport easily.  

● Fluent English.  

● Workday and Oracle EPM experience preferred.  

● US GAAP accounting experience preferred.
