We are currently seeking a System Lead, reporting directly to Precommissioning and Commissioning Manager to join our PC&C team based in Enesenada, Baja California, Mexico.

The overall functions are: Integration at system level of Outsight back-end/front-end solution including 3D web interface and database. Writing and performing system integration tests plans including development of custom tools and test benches. Investigate detected issues with Software development teams. Consistently apply strategic thinking approach to effectively solve problems. Provide remote and onsite support for deployment/customer teams. Strong knowledge in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.

In this context the responsibilities include:
- Understand and investigate the interaction of various sub-systems and software blocks.
- Analyze, track and report issue and progresses.
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Discuss and understand the customer environment and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning (PC&C) activities as per schedules, and procedures.
- Main activities: Cold SAT, Hot SAT, Serial communication tests, software modification supervision, dry functional test execution, support to other discipline during mechanical run test in motors, HPLT campaign, OTPs, startup activities, etc.
- Coordinate along with the superintendent, and sub-contractors to ensure alignment on PC&C activities.
- Ensure all PC&C activities are integrated into the overall project schedule.
- Lead and supervise a small team of engineers and vendors.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication.
- Oversee the execution of PC&C tests and procedures for systems and equipment.
- Ensure all functional tests are tested by functionality, subsystems, reliability, and performance according to design specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the PC&C process, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of commissioning activities (mark-up), test results, and system performance
- Fill out all quality control form per each individual functional test, following the project procedures and standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and other stakeholders to provide updates on commissioning progress and address any concerns.
- Prepare or support the commissioning leads, doing or completing reports and documentation to be presented to project stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in commissioning activities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and standards related to commissioning.
- Ensure conformance with project highest standards of integrity
- Ensure all activities under direct responsibility are carried out in compliance with corporate and project Policies / Standards

About you:
Qualification: Engineering degree with an experience in back-end/front-end.
Experiences:
- Fifteen (15) years combined experience in Oil and Gas Operations in instrumentation PC&C activities.
- Commissioning Experience
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Experience should include instrumentation maintenance and fault-finding activities, preferably on LNG plants, including but not limited to:
- Awareness/familiarity with IEC Functional Safety Standards (61508 / 61511)
- Awareness/familiarity with API Standard 170 (HIPPS)
- Operation and maintenance of field instrumentation (all types; including calibrations to industry standard / best practice)
- Operation and maintenance of rotating machinery monitoring systems
- Operation and maintenance of Fire & Gas systems (Including Addressable Systems)
- Operation and maintenance of ICSS DCS / SIS / FGS systems (preferably Emerson DeltaV)
- Experience with Cause & Effect Testing / Verification / Charts and Matrices
- Technical knowledge of various communication protocols (including MODBUS TCP/IP / OPC / HART)
- Technical knowledge of AMS / Diagnostic Software / Tools (including Valve Link)
- Experience with fault diagnostics and break-down repairs on above systems
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS System
- Technical knowledge of PTW systems, HSE and Environment Management systems.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Standard Package.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System, preferably SAP)
- QA methodology (test plans, test report...) including experience with
- Networking & protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, routing, VLAN, access security.
- Knowledge in DeltaV system, AMS, Valve Link is a plus.
