The proposed Inspection Engineer should have the following minimum qualifications.
General Requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
- Certified API Inspector (API 510/570/653)
- Certified in RBI methodology (API 580)
- Familiar with ASME Code Section II for material.
- Familiar with ASME Code Section IX and PCC-2 for welding and repair.
- Familiar with ASME Code Section B31.1, B31.3, Section I, Section VIII for design and construction.
- Familiar with ASME Code Section V for non-destructive examination.
- Familiar with API 650 for atmospheric tank design and construction.
- Familiar with API 576 for relieve valve testing and analysis.
- Familiar with Fitness for Service assessment as per API 579/ASME FFS.
- Familiar with API 571 for industrial damage mechanism.
- Should be able to communicate in English and should be able to write reports.
- Should have knowledge and commitment towards safety.
Professional requirements.
- Min of 5 years’ experience working in process plants (chemical or fertilizer industry).
- Hold valid API 570/510/653 certification minimum 5 years.
- Hold valid CSWIP 3.1 certification in Welding Inspection minimum 5 years.
- The evaluation of Engineer by QAFCO is through:
- Review of CV.
- Personnel interview at QAFCO’s premises which include written and practical exam.
