Lead the preparation of 1-Year Work Programs and 5-Year Business Plans for assigned assets or directorates
Integrate data and forecasts from multidisciplinary teams (Reservoir, Drilling, Production, Projects) to generate cohesive development plans
Analyze field performance, identify gaps, and recommend optimization strategies or new development opportunities
Oversee the preparation of production forecasts, reserves updates, and recovery factor evaluations using reservoir modeling and forecasting tools
Drive portfolio prioritization and planning cycles in line with KOC’s investment and development strategies
Provide technical justification for budget allocations (CAPEX/OPEX) and support preparation of board-level presentations and executive reports
Lead planning workshops and coordinate technical committees for plan reviews and approvals
Mentor and guide junior engineers on planning methodologies, tools, and internal reporting standards
Ensure full compliance with KOC governance frameworks, planning policies, and HSE regulations
Liaise with external partners, consultants, and stakeholders for planning studies, JV alignment, or regulatory submissions
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master’s is a plus)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in upstream oil & gas, with at least 4 years in a planning or integrated asset management role
- Strong command of technical planning software (e.g., ARIES, OFM, Eclipse, Petrel) and business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Deep understanding of Kuwait’s reservoir types, production challenges, and development strategies (heavy oil, waterfloods, EOR, etc.)
