Science / ResearchOrion Group Life Sciences are currently recruiting a Laboratory Technician/QC Analyst on behalf of our Multinational Biopharmaceutical Client based in Mayo on an initial 12-Month contract with potential to extend.

- 2 cycle shift, monthly rotating between days and evening; Days paid at standard rate; 07:00 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 16:30 (Friday finish at 13:30 or 14:30 depending on start time).
- Evening paid at 20% shift premium; 15:00 - 23:00 (Friday 14:00 – 20:00).
Responsibilities
- Perform Chemistry analysis of In process / Final product as per schedule and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Also perform analysis on Stability samples from a wide range of products
- Documenting all testing activities, results and raw data on time, accurately and legibly
- Use of laboratory IT systems including LIMS and Empower
- Reviews and interprets test results
- Adhering to all company standards in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies
- Ensure good housekeeping and good laboratory practices
- Rotating shifts monthly
- Work with team, Supervisors, Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager to ensure compliance to Quality Management System
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience/Knowledge:
- 3rd Level Qualification in a Science Discipline, preferably Chemistry related.
- 1-2 Years’ experience working as an Analyst in a GMP/GLP environment.
- 1-2 Years’ experience of working with a range of Analytical Equipment specifically HPLC and GC and well as other laboratory techniques.
- Experience and good knowledge of Empower.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Data Integrity from Laboratory perspective.
- Excellent communication, organization, time-management and teamwork skills
- Demonstrate ability to work on one’s own initiative.
