EngineeringNES Fircroft are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Oil & Gas operations giant who are looking to add a Project Manager to work on their Oil Production facility in Basra, Iraq.
This role will be to join the client on a 28 day on 28 day off rotational basis. It offers a fantastic rate and contractor package as well as the opportunity to work on one the world premier onshore production facilities.
Key Accountabilities
• In compliance with client policy and procedures, provide leadership and direction for the preparation of the overall projects’ plan that will ensure delivery of the project on schedule, in budget and with a top quartile HSE performance and in compliance with QAQC requirements.
• Accountable for the approved plan to achieve project deliverables and timeline objectives including development of the organisation, schedule, procurement and execution strategies over multiple projects associated with the position.
• Establish specific plans for HSE, quality and cost control. Champion HSE values.
• In line with Enhanced Redevelopment Plan, development of contract strategies, in conjunction with the PGM and PSCM, that recognise both the ROO constraints and scope of work, suitable strategy of project execution, delivery schedule and cost estimation of projects.
• Provides input to project governance, safety, and maintenance operability reviews.
• Regularly liaising with project controls team to maintain robust integrated schedule.
• Responsible for overall coordination of engineering delivery and assurance functions through managing contractors’ engineering resource and manpower, on a project specific basis, to ensure engineering and equipment is completed and supplied in a timely manner.
• Fostering good relations with both the contractors to ensuring technical issues are resolved.
• In conjunction with PSCM to manage the material and equipment procurement by client with timely delivery in compliance with quality requirements; overall management of contractors’ procurement activities in line with targeted time and required quality.
• Management of the site-based delivery team to ensure all parties (e.g. Contractors, Project Delivery Team etc.) deliver the project within the agreed schedule and budget through leadership and direction from the position. This will include the development and monitoring of project specific KPIs.
• Management on of the contractors’ construction resources to ensure Construction is delivered in a safe, with required quality and timely manner.
• Management and coordination with all key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the project in compliance with quality and HSE requirements.
• Act as a role model for the client HSE requirements through the demonstration of a continuous improvement in both input and output measure performance.
Essential Education
• Previous experience of working within a multi-cultural and multi-discipline, multi-location environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deliver exceptional results in difficult project environments.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in computer operations of software applications.

Essential Education
- Essential Education – B.Sc. Degree in process, mechanical, piping and or project management discipline.
- Min 15 years’ experience working in the oil & gas industry for projects including experience in a Project Engineering capacity.
- Extensive Project & Brownfield experience is preferred.
