Technicians / ServiceJob Summary – 1st Class Welder
The 1st Class Welder is responsible for leading and executing all welding activities at MAN, including in-house and subcontracted work. This role involves programming automated laser cladding repairs, developing welding procedures (WPS/WPQR), maintaining weld documentation, inspecting welds, and ensuring equipment is maintained. The position also includes subcontractor auditing and supporting efficient repair operations.

The 1st Class Welder is responsible for leading and executing all welding activities at MAN, including in-house and subcontracted work. This role involves programming automated laser cladding repairs, developing welding procedures (WPS/WPQR), maintaining weld documentation, inspecting welds, and ensuring equipment is maintained. The position also includes subcontractor auditing and supporting efficient repair operations.
Key Requirements: Will Train on Laser Machine
- Certified Welder or 10 years of experience
- Strong skills in TIG, SAW, and GMAW
- Cast and Alloy steel experience preferred
- Preferred laser cladding, and weld procedure development
- Experience with robot programming
Additional Information:
- 1st shift 55-65 hrs a week
- Working Conditions: Shop (Climate Controlled)
- Very Competitive on Pay (Eligible for pay increases within 6 months)
- Annual Bonus 2.5%
- Pay $33-38/hr
