EngineeringWe are looking for an Instrumentation Superintendent for one of our clients with the following details:
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 36 months
Location: Qatar
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
- 8 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
Technical and Business Skills:
- IT literacy: Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing and communication requirements.
- Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and translate approved for construction drawings.
- Ability to use (Read) Navis works (3D model)
- Ability to prepare, approve and /or verify Instrument installation plans.
- Ability to work within document control systems reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.
- Ability to read and translate primavera schedules.
- Ability to work within advanced work packing systems.
- Demonstrate extensive experience of Instrumentation construction installation hook up, pre-commissioning methods and ways of working preferably in a major LNG Project.
- Ability to translate Instrument design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, specific to onshore LNG facilities and utility systems.
- Instrument equipment including (ICSS) and related Telecom, and other (ELICS) systems experience and familiarity with relevant installation construction processes and relevant industry codes.
Activities:
- Provide visible safety leadership ensuring a culture of care for people and safety-first approach is established.
- Ensure timely review and comment of related E&I technical and project non-technical documents submitted by Contractor.
- Ensures all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company and contractually defined policies, regulations, and standards.
- Apply contractual acumen engaging with Contractors on schedule, technical and cost issues.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and open communications with contractor and company functional teams (safety, quality, engineering, business).
- Attend activity planning and risk assessment meetings, assist contractor in identifying schedule mitigations and improvement.
- Ensure safety processes and standards are maintained by assuring Contractor completes daily and weekly walk-through of construction areas.
- Attend onsite workface planning and safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure there is a clear understanding of the activities that are to be performed.
- Assure project schedule compliance by working collaboratively with Contractor identifying construction constraints and mitigation actions.
- Review of contractors daily weekly and monthly reports analysing performance and verifying progress and status
