We are looking for an "HULL BUOY MOORING LEADER (M/F)" for one of our clients, to be based in Luanda (Angola) for a 12-month contract (potentially renewable).
"HULL BUOY MOORING LEADER (M/F)". What will your responsibilities and missions be?
Activity Description
1. Hull Tank Inspection & Repair Activities
- Develop and adjust the tank work program to recover inspection and repair backlogs, and close Conditions of Class (CoC) as soon as reasonably practicable
- Provide technical support during discussions with Bureau Veritas (BV) related to class renewal
- Investigate improvements to tank cleaning methods with the aim of reducing manhours and minimizing risk exposure
- Assess and propose enhancements to current repair methods to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
- Prepare initial Scope of Work Sheets based on relevant service cards and data from the Tank Condition Summary File
- Ensure appropriate training is delivered and safety measures are implemented effectively on site
2. Buoy Activities
- Ensure proper maintenance and initiate design improvements to preserve the integrity of the main roller bearing
- Review and optimize the preparation, content, and execution of buoy service cards
3. Mooring Activities
- Implement a mooring failure contingency plan
- Oversee the refurbishment of mooring platforms and windlasses by the end of 2026 to enable link displacement operations
- Initiate procurement processes for spare mooring lines
What profile and skills are Required for this "HULL BUOY MOORING LEADER (M/F)" Position?
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or a relevant Maritime Engineering discipline
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar field, including involvement in naval and offshore construction activities (construction, maintenance), project management, and project planning
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory / Portuguese is considered an asset
- Skills & Competencies: Strong communication and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and take initiative - Positive, motivated, and proactive mindset - Strong team spirit and collaborative attitude (mandatory)
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with eVision / ePEERMiT site applications - Proficiency with project planning tools (e.g., Primavera) - Knowledge of SAP-Unisup is an advantage
- Certifications: BOSIET and HUET certifications are mandatory
