We are looking for an "COST CONTROLLER (M/F)" for one of our clients, to be based in Ile-de-France (France) for a 12-month contract (potentially renewable).

 

"COST CONTROLLER (M/F)". What will your responsibilities and missions be?

 

Cost Control Activities – FPSO Project

Scope of Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting all Budget and Cost Control activities related to the FPSO package throughout the Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction, Commissioning, and Installation phases, under the supervision of the Cost Control Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the monitoring and control of FPSO-related costs, ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, rules, and project requirements
• Coordinate with the Cost Control Lead and relevant stakeholders within the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) team to ensure the effective use of the UNISUP system for managing Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Contracts, and Call-offs for external services
• Track commitments, expenditures, and work progress through UNISUP
• Process and validate invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms; maintain and update the payment schedule for the main EPSCC contract and related Purchase Orders
• Ensure proper closure of commitments in UNISUP in compliance with accounting standards and SOX procedures
• Contribute to the development and update of annual and multi-year budgets in collaboration with the FPSO Package team
• Prepare cost forecasts (Estimate at Completion - EFC), incorporating payment terms and potential cost volatility
• Produce and issue regular cost control reports, highlighting trends and deviations, for review and validation by package management

Additional Duties:

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all budget and cost-related data throughout the project lifecycle
• Proactively collect and consolidate cost-related information from contracts and technical teams
• Provide feedback and ‘lessons learned’ on cost control practices for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the organization
• Promote and uphold the highest standards in HSSE, ethics, and compliance with the company’s Code of Conduct

Reporting Line:

Reports directly to the FPSO Cost Control Lead, with functional reporting as needed to the Project Cost Control representative and the Accounting department

 

 

What profile and skills are Required for this "COST CONTROLLER (M/F)" Position?

 

Technical Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of cost control principles applied to industrial projects, including multi-year budgeting
• Proficiency in SAP (UNISUP) and Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in a similar role on Exploration & Production (E&P) projects
• Strong intercultural awareness and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, collaborate, and take initiative
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
