Main Responsabilities:
The position refers to a Senior resource, responsible for:
- Understand and develop HSE Technical Analyses and studies and Relevant Reporting, such as, for example: QRAs, Safety Cases / HSE Cases, HSE Audits
- Being able to effectively Chair 3rd Party HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SIL Assessments and other type of workshop-based technical analysis, including their preparation, reporting, liaison with external clients
- Represent Company towards Clients preparing Technical Proposals and managing Subcontractors as necessary, following all relevant Quality procedures, with emphasis on HAZOP and HAZID workshop activities
- Provide Chairmanship, Health & Safety and Loss Prevention Technical expertise and guidance at the Office for his younger and less experienced peers
Main requirements
The candidate must have:
• College Degree in Engineering Disciplines, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering or Nuclear Engineering
• 6+ years working experience in Loss Prevention and Health & Safety Analyses activities for chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore), including working experience in QRA and Loss Prevention Analyses, Consequence Assessment, Event Tree and Fault Tree Analysis, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL.
• Actively chaired successfully concluded HAZOPs, HAZIDs and/or SIL Assessments as 3rd party independent consultant
• Knowledge of the main software packages for HAZOP/HAZID recording (e.g. Phaworks, PHAPro, and alike)
• Understanding of the technical issues of O&G and Petrochemical world
• Fluency in English and Italian Language (working knowledge of Italian, Portuguese, Spanish or French are a Plus)
• Availability to Travel Worldwide on short-mid term assignments (Candidate must hold a valid Passport and be able to freely travel as required)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities, with special emphasis on:
Ability to interface with people at all levels and from varied cultural backgrounds
Ability to make effective presentations
Ability to write well structured, concise and well reasoned reports, proposals and documents
Ability to effectively chair and moderate discussions
Previous experience on similar assignments in Technical Engineering Consultancy
The following is NOT acceptable:
• experience uniquely as field HSE in construction sites and/or operating plants, without working experience as HSE/Risk Analyst in a Desktop Consultancy Environment, is NOT acceptable. Position is for an Engineering Analyst, not for a Field Safety Officer.
• Lacking of an Engineering Degree (or STEM degree) is NOT acceptable, regardless of the number of other qualification
