NES Fircroft are supporting a key O&G client in Aberdeen, with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long term contract basis.

The primary purpose is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor’s respecting processes & protocols, responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.

This will be a 12 month PAYE contract, working full time hours (37.5) per week and after initial training, will work a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea / ROV systems & Equipment
  • Review procedures and drawings in order to ensure practicality from an ROV operations point of view
  • Awareness and understanding of our client's current requirements and, where applicable, the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory rules and regulations
  • To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with policies on health, safety, quality and environmental matters
  • To ensure that personal safety and that of others is not compromised or placed at risk
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Completed engineering studies at a University or College level, or possess equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of ROV offshore operations, in particular subsea construction and remote intervention
  • Up to date with ISO 13628-8 ‘Design and operation of subsea production systems – Part 8: Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interfaces on subsea production systems
  • Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment
  • Have a good knowledge of ROV system design and system-level engineering
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office programs, MathCAD, and AutoCAD
  • Ability to work without supervision, coordinate varied resources, actively contribute, and possess problem-solving skills
  • Efficient communication skills at all levels and be confident in supervising other technical disciplines
