NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Senior Telecoms Engineer for our client, who are a global, industry leader in electrification and automation. The Senior Telecoms engineer will be responsible for the delivery of the ACS (Access Control System) package for a major energy project. This will include phases from design to install and commissioning.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Telecoms Engineer to oversee the design, maintenance, optimisation and implementation of our telecommunications systems. The main duty of the Senior Telecoms Engineer will be to work on the ACS (Access Control System) package. This will be designed from the ground up, followed by install and commission. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage telecommunication systems and ACS package.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity, bandwidth, and signal integrity issues.
• Lead incident response and resolution for telecom outages or service degradation.
• Collaborate with vendors and carriers for provisioning, upgrades, and support.
• Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.

Skills & Experience

• 5 years of hands-on experience in telecoms engineering or network infrastructure.
• Knowledge and experience working with ACS.
• Deep knowledge of technologies such as SIP, VoIP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and PBX systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and performance monitoring software.
• Familiarity with network security protocols and redundancy planning.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science or related field.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent (desirable).
