SITE QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER - CONTRACT – NORTH WALES

Our Client, a global leader in engineering and constructing major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently seeking a Site Quality Control Manager to join the team in North Wales.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Education: engineering degree
- Experience: 8-10 years in a managing role with QC activities within the offshore Oil&Gas industry in a project facility environment
- Technical skills: welding knowledge, Oil&Gas facilities and pipelines
- Certificates: Welding Inspector would be a plus
JOB SCOPE
Purpose of the position: As Site Quality Control manager, you will manage a team of 10 resources (supervisors and inspectors). You will be part of a major project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage) and ensure the quality control activities have correctly been conducted.
How can you support our Client? Here below your responsibilities:
- Supervise the project Quality Control activities and your team of supervisors (welding, painting, mechanical…)
- Act as focal point for quality control related matters within the project and in liaison with external entities
- Support the Project Quality Manager in defining the Project Quality Control System and in identifying needed project QC plans and QC procedures in accordance with the Company Quality Management System (QMS)
- Allocate QC Supervisor functions to the various areas of the project, ensuring relevant coordination onsite
- Verify that internal/subcontracted tests, controls, inspections are carried out and documented in accordance with site Quality Control Plans, mechanical completion included
- Ensure application of the PQMS and site preparation/distribution of the project QC plans/procedures in accordance with the Company QMS
- Control the documentation has correctly been registered to complete the project
- Collect project QC data to be provided to the Project Quality Manager, also in view of the Project Quality Management Review preparation
RATE: Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.
DURATION: Start ASAP.
WORK PATTERN: 5,5 days per week onsite.
