Reporting directly to the Operational Readiness Superintendent –Major Projects, the asset readiness technical writer assumes the critical responsibility of supporting the Operational Readiness lead and collaborating with asset owners. The primary objective is to ensure the successful completion of all documents relating to the reliability output for the assets in alignment with the document management system.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Operational Readiness Lead and Delivery Team to comprehend the scope and schedule of the delivery and management of the document creation, review, and approvals.
Liaise with Operational Readiness Lead to clarify the type and number of documents to be created, facilitating and coordinating any identified gaps, and provide regular progress updates until handover.
Work closely with Central Support functions, including Maintenance Processes & Systems, NPI & Water Management, Engineering, and Reliability, to ensure adherence and compliance with corporate standards and guidelines.

Primary Role
- Create document checklists from the equipment manuals and reliability FMECA
- Create primary standard work instructions (replace repair)
- Record progress of document status (out for review/editing required, document date base for approval)
- Follow the standard templates created by the team.
- Facilitate and organise meetings with a structured agenda that relates to the required outcomes of the meeting.
- Ability to engage stakeholders, both internal and external across various levels in the business
Qualifications and Experience:
- Trade qualification or 5years in technical writing
- Proven experience in technical writing for either fixed plant/energy transmission and generation
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
- Clear and concise communication abilities.
- Proficient in facilitating and presenting at meetings.
- Logical and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Experience in reporting.
