This Position reports to:
Purchasing Manager

Your role and responsibilities


In this role, you will have the opportunity to l ead a functional work team of Buyers, Procurement Specialists, and/or Analysts to deliver accurate and timely procurement activities like transactional purchasing, e-sourcing, data management, and reporting. Ensures execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for Large Motors division based in Vadodara, Indi a.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Manages execution and tracking of procurement activities within the team, while ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional cost.
  • Ensures Buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines.
  • Secures full utilization of the SAP Ariba platform according to the relevant procedures, both related to sharing supplier information and finding existing high-performing suppliers to ABB.
  • Understanding of Drawing / GT / Tolerances. Also Supports global procurement initiatives as required.
  • Leads in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services.


Qualifications for the role:
  • Full time Diploma / Graduate in Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering
  • A minimum of 9+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, including experience working with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Some hands-on experience in vendor management, and understanding basic procurement strategies.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Experience in managing & leading the team. Must have strong team-building skills.
