Buyer
We currently have a PAYE contract opportunity for a Buyer. The position will be based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
  • Procurement of materials & services primarily  for  UK assets  
  • Carrying out a diverse range of tasks  related  to the  buying  function  and draw  on experience, adapt and modify accordingly  based on changing priorities  and circumstances.
  • Co-ordination of Purchase Agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensuring orders are up to date and complete with amendments if required. Maintaining checks of cost, quality and level of service provided by vendors.
  • Fostering an awareness of and adherence to relevant  legislation, Regulations  and best practice. Reviewing and satisfying asset requirements by way of standard supply chain processes. Liaising with internal customers  and other relevant parties.
  • Ad hoc expediting of materials / services and liaising with suppliers  and third parties  ensuring materials  arrive  at the end user  at the right place  at the right  time ensuring  production  is  not impacted  at any time.
Specific Requirements:
  • Experience in a Buyer/  Expeditor position.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy skills. Advanced Excel skills .
  • Analytical thinking.
  • Exceptional organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Excellent   standard   in   the presentation delivery of work.
  • Experience within the Energy Sector
  • Understanding   of the goods  I  services  being procured/expedited.
  • Good general education
  • Computer skills essential (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Previous  experience  with Maximo  or other asset management  software is preferred but not essential.
