The Wells Subsea Control Lead is a position in the Well Engineering Team, and will report to the Completions and Testing Manager to support the delivery of the new spec KS800 subsea controls system in existing African based fields..

The primary role of the Wells Subsea Controls Lead is to provide engineering effort to assure the safe, compliant, and reliable development and engineering of the new KS 800 subsea control system and it’s integration in existing field FPSO systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and operational risk agenda of each onshore and offshore work site is delivered and assuring the operation takes place within the company Standards and Practices requirements.
• Delivery of the KS 800 subsea controls scope for company, providing technical and execution and delivery assurance of the scope.
• Liaise with the Well Eng Subsea Lead to ensure the integration with the new build OTS subsea xmas trees.
• Liaise with the relevant Production Operations personnel as necessary to ensure the operability of the KS800 system on the fields.
• Liaise with the relevant Well Eng personnel as necessary to ensure the operability of the KS800 system in the company owned IWOCS system.
• Finalise & implement new XT type operability HAZOP, with specific focus on changes and integration into existing production control system.
• Interface with production ops team to close out HAZOP actions.
• Oversee first article of new XT type controls build and test at component and system level.
• Project manage IWOCS upgrade & test.
• Oversee engineering and implementation of conversion of XT from one field type to another.
• Work with Well Eng peers, project and aftermarket teams, completion team and vendors and production ops team to plan integrate and deliver the C&A element of the new XT type SIT.

Experience

15 years experience in the following:

• Engineering and project management experience in subsea production systems
• Experience in subsea production control system engineering
• Delivery and integration testing of subsea production control systems
• Subsea brownfield retrofit engineering and project management experience
• West Africa subsea production system installation projects
• Working with an Oil and Gas Operator
• Knowledge and understanding of Offshore Oil & Gas Operator production, operations and constraints
• Knowledge of production, project and well engineering interfaces
• Knowledge of industry SPS and SCS engineering specifications, codes and regulations.
