Main function of the job: -

  Carry out electrical engineering work for small and large sized EPC projects in oil and gas industry and responsibility for conceptual, FEED, studies, detailed design, drawings, provide necessary technical information and specifications for electrical materials procurement for the projects.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Provide complete engineering expertise and technical support to EPC oil and gas facilities projects during engineering, construction and commissioning stages.
• Prepare detailed design, sizing electrical equipment, electrical calculations, scope of work, drawings and electrical materials specifications with a highlevel competence.
• Provides and review electrical system studies and analysis includes short circuits, load flow, relays setting, relay coordination,.. etc. by using relevant software.
• Manage the electrical detailed activities and deliverables within the defined scope with the objective to maintain or reduce costs without impacting the project schedule or the required level of quantity and safety.
• Review, Check and Approval of all engineering deliverables produced by electrical team/contractor as well as documents and drawings related to electrical, vendor drawings and data including schematic diagram.
• Carryout site investigation and check documentation of existing electrical system.
• Coordinate between vendors, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure the electrical design is compliance with all applicable code, standards and HSE regulations.
•  Perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications. 
• Collaborate with other disciplines to assure fully coordinated final designs. 
• Mentor junior engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and career growth. 
• Prepare material/equipment specifications and purchase requisitions, review supplier data, witness shop tests and assess supplier and manufacturing capabilities. 
• Estimating material, labour, or construction costs for budget preparation.  
• Prepare projects status reports and compiling data regarding electrical engineering projects and studies.  
• Ensure all documents and drawings are issued on time and site corrections are included in the as built. 

    Qualifications & Experience: -

• Education: BSc. Degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years of engineering and construction experience in EPC projects in oil and gas industry.
• Hands-on experience using electrical design and calculation software such as ETAP,..etc.
• Familiar with electrical engineering codes (NEC, IEEE, NEMA, IEC,.. etc) and safety standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, project management and analytical skills.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer skills MS office.

 Summary of Terms & Conditions:

• Work Cycle of 56/21 including Travel Days for American, Eastern and Western Europe, others 65/21 , including Travel Days
