The client is seeking an individual with extensive experience in design, FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), cost estimation, construction tendering, tender evaluation, and a strong knowledge of offshore repair and demolition of structures. Additionally, the candidate should have significant expertise in the design and construction of steel and concrete structures, both inshore and offshore.

Main function of the job: -

 A senior Project Civil Engineer is responsible for management and preparing studies, FEED, detailed engineering, drawings, specifications, tender documents and construction for civil projects including office buildings, workshops, plant steel structure, etc. in oil and gas industry. The engineering work must be prepared according to engineering standards, industrial safety and quality requirements within project budget and project schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

·      Prepare studies, FEED, calculations, detailed engineering design, drawings, specifications, scope of work, cost estimate and tender documents for a new or renovation buildings and industrial plant projects.

·      Prepare the design calculations and structural analysis of buildings and industrial plant structures and ensures that the structure is safe and stable for its intended use.

·      Prepare design for reinforced concrete and steel structural repair projects onshore and offshore.

·      Prepare safe and economical specifications for a structure, and select appropriate materials to ensure that a planned structure will be sufficiently strong to carry its intended load.

·      Review, comment and approve contractors design calculations, drawings and specifications.

·      Prepare projects design within financial budgets, deadlines and ensures that the environmental impact of the project is managed.

·      Regularly visiting site to monitor project progression and resolve construction problems.

·      Participate in bid evaluation, contract negotiations and award construction contracts.

·      Produce design building plans including 3D models using computer aided design software programs and technical drawing tools such as Auto cad, 3D Studio,..etc.

·      Direct the activities of trainee design and ensures their designs and specifications are precise.

·      Prepare technical and projects status reports and presentations to management.

Qualification & Experience: -

·      Education: - B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.

·      Experience: - Minimum 15 years working experience in civil projects design and construction including reinforced concrete, steel and marine structure as well as offshore repair and demolition of structure in oil and gas industry.

·      familiarity with building engineering, codes, standards such as UBC, BS, ACI, ASTM, AASHTO,..etc. and industrial safety standards.

·      Familiarity with project management softwares such as Primavera and design softwares such as STAAD PRO, SAP2000 and well-known structural analysis softwares.

·      Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

·      Excellent interpersonal, projects management and technical analysis skills.

·      Computer skills MS office
