Position
Sicim is looking for a Proposal Engineer for our Branch in Kazakhstan
The person will carry on the following activities:
• Assisting the Proposal Coordinator in the preparation of tender documentation.
• Examination of the tender documents, concentrating on understanding the specific expectations of the client, as well as the relative deadlines and budget.
• Provides discipline specific inputs in preparation of responses for the calls for tenders, coordinating the development process, the actual preparation of the offers and their submission/presentation to potential clients.
• Review the estimate requests, confirming with potential clients that requirements are duly met, and then start the tender procedure.
• Identification of the tasks and assignment of the priority in accordance with the internally developed procedures.
• Within the limits agreed with the Line Manager/Proposal Coordinator, represent the company in the meetings with Partners, making visits and taking part in meetings on site, if necessary, for the purpose of interacting with clients.
• Present the result of the estimation, including the engineering, procurement and construction activities, to the Proposal Coordinator and discusses the project pricing policy, manage as per directions all the contractual negotiations and any formalization of the contract.
• Filling in all the estimates on how much it will cost to supply a Client or potential Client with products or services for a project and then draw up the relative budget.
• Carrying out evaluation of the costs for materials, labor and equipment needed for the Project offer, also by analyzing different offers presented by local suppliers and subcontractors.
• He /she supports the Proposal Coordinator throughout the negotiation phase, in order to provide price/discount updates as dictated by the tender procedure;
• Collaborates in the development of the evaluation of costs for materials, labour and equipment needed for the Project offer, also by studying the offers presented by local suppliers and subcontractors.
• Demonstrate commitment to company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies.
Requirements
COMPETENCIES
• Minimum a B.E./B. Tech. in Engineering with at least 5-8 years of experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the company, with a strong emphasis on being able to effectively communicate proposals information.
• Capable to build Strong relationship with both Clients & Suppliers.
• Capable of Making self-decisions.
• Good self-discipline and an ability to meet demanding schedule requirements whilst maintaining high quality work.
• Excellent team-working skills.
• Self-tasking and an ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in written work.
• Structured approach to work with the ability to set, and work to, agreed timescales.
• Capable to accelerate the team work effectively to complete work within targeted deadline.
• Good Knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Windows Operating Systems
• Familiar with technical & commercial review process.
