We are seeking a Project Engineer to support engineering activities in cable transport, installation, and storage projects within the maritime sector. This dynamic role involves assisting with technical project planning, managing documentation, and supporting tender preparation. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Function description

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Assist in the planning and execution of cable transport and installation projects, including equipment setup, safety checks, and performance monitoring.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed engineering documentation, project files, and reports to support ongoing projects and tender activities.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to ensure project tasks align with technical specifications and deadlines.
• Tender Support: Work with the Commercial team to analyze project requirements, prepare proposals, and assist in developing pricing documentation.
• Client Interaction: Occasionally liaise with clients to clarify technical project requirements and provide support during on-site operations.
• Compliance: Ensure all project activities adhere to safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Maritime, or a related field preferred).
• 1-2 years of experience in engineering support or project coordination within the maritime, offshore, or cable transport sectors.
• Basic understanding of cable transport, storage, and related maritime operations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with engineering or tendering software is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch or other language skills are a plus.
