In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • To gather engineering data needed to create technical documents.
  • To review and edit documents (e.g., Operating Manuals, Bulletins, Product Data Sheets, Quick Installation Guides, etc.), writings, and illustrations based on the organization's product information and specifications provided by product experts and engineers.
  • To confirm compliance with Emerson branding standards through peer review of documents.
  • To coordinate with translation vendor to procure translations.
  • To collaborate with engineering for product/CAD drawings or gain access to the repository to identify and download the correct CAD drawing for use in technical documents.
  • To research product specifications similar to Emerson products and provide documentation.
  • To prepare installation and operation manuals, quick start guides, technical descriptions, product data sheets, supplement guides, or any other technical document needed to support the products.
  • To create and develop new documents in coordination with product managers.

Who You Are:

You have a strong drive for results and exhibit passion and enthusiasm to get things done. You can proficiently communicate ideas and influence key collaborators. You are a nimble learner, resourceful, and able to collaborate and efficiently work with people across any level.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation Process Controls, or similar.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Technical Support, Sales and Marketing, Product Applications Support, or Marketing Communications for technology and engineering products or in the Technical Sales Quote-to-Cash process within industries like Petroleum, Oil, Gas, Chemical, Power, or Pulp/Paper.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Intermediate technical capability in Adobe products (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.).
