Job Overview

The individual in this role will provide oversight and guidance to teams involved in the completion of various construction projects. They will oversee activities related to building infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of all construction work, including various disciplines such as civil, steel structure, architecture, and mechanical/electrical.

This position is based on-site and focuses on supervising and managing the completion process for construction works, ensuring compliance with all project requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the oversight of multiple construction scopes within the project, including building infrastructure and systems.
• Foster a team environment that promotes collaboration and high performance.
• Provide support and guidance to walkdown teams, ensuring alignment with project completion procedures.
• Ensure adherence to construction completion procedures and interface with different project teams (contractors, quality control, operations, etc.).
• Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, ensuring timely execution of the work.
• Monitor the progress of construction activities, report on schedules, and ensure safety compliance.
• Offer solutions to improve safety and efficiency, supporting the transition from construction to commissioning.

Candidate Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage change effectively.
• Proficient in standard software tools (MS Office).

• Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively and resolve conflicts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage complex situations.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10+ years of experience in construction, with leadership or supervisory roles.
• Experience in onshore building construction and knowledge of local standards.
• Familiarity with operations in Qatar is a plus
