We have partnered with a top tier engineering consultancy delivering industry leading expertise from initial pre-feasibility throughout procurement, detailed design, construction and commissioning, currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team based in Brisbane CBD.

This role can be offered as either permanent or on contract depending on your preference.
 
In this role you ensure technical efforts on projects, confirming alignment with project objectives and requirements, as well as:

• Confirm design tasks and deliverables meets project standards and monitoring budget and schedule in conjunction with the project manager
• Execute mechanical engineering tasks across various projects, including equipment selection, conveying, material transfer, DEM, pumping, and piping
• Prepare technical engineering documents as part of project deliverables and collaborating with other disciplines and designers to develop comprehensive designs
• Awareness and monitoring budget and schedule, in conjunction with the project manager for the projects and address any variances.

About you:

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in engineering for the mining and resources sector.
• Experience with bulk materials handling including conveyor design, slurry handling, and project management.
• Ability to produce calculations and design documentation, with practical experience in construction, commissioning, and/or operations.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process controls.
