Position: Production Engineer

Location: Brisbane

Indicative Term of Contract: 12 months (casual)

Our client is seeking a talented Production Engineer to play a critical role in managing one of their most complex assets. In this position, you will oversee production from over 300 wells, gathering systems, and compression facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary WRFM team, working in a collaborative environment to optimize production and manage costs in both the short and medium term. This role also includes acting as a technical mentor, providing guidance to fellow Production Surveillance Engineers, and serving as a focal point for technical production engineering queries.

Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze daily production from wells, gathering systems, and compressors.
• Provide daily support to field operations, acting as the interface between office and field teams.
• Accountable for FBHP optimization and tracking.
• Update and monitor well production trends and collaborate with the Optimization Lead, Production Technology, Engineering, and Field Teams on remedial actions.
• Optimize daily gathering flow and ensure efficient operations.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships to foster collaboration across the client's teams.
• Provide technical support for technology trials, including implementation and ongoing surveillance.
• Ensure rigorous use of HSSE risk assessments and operational processes.
• Lead by example with a strong commitment to values, safety, and environmental standards.
• Apply standards rigorously and intervene when deviations occur.

Skills & Requirements:

• Engineering degree preferred in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in technical roles such as Production Operations, Well Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Technology, or Reservoir Engineering is advantageous but not required.
• High commitment to safety and environmental standards.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn quickly.
• Proven ability to integrate and deliver in a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated coaching and influencing skills.
• Experience in the CSG industry is an advantage.
