This position reports to

Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

** Full-time Winter 2025 internship based in Saint-Laurent, with one day per week in the office, for mechanical engineering students ** As a mechanical engineering intern within our electrification division in Montreal, you will have the following responsibilities: • Introduction to DC substations for powering electric trains and subways. • Introduction to "Low Voltage" products for commercial, industrial electrical rooms. • Power cabinet design using 3D and 2D software. • Prepare assembly and manufacturing drawings. • Support cabinet manufacturing. • Thermal and structural analysis of electrical cabinets • Modeling and designing for the "VMI" in the Inventor vault. • Update the VMI according to recurring project requirements. • Transfer 3d models from Solid Edge to Inventor. • Template creation in Inventor.

Qualifications for the role

  • Mechanical Engineering Student (2nd or 3rd year).
  • Experience with 3D modeling.
  • Experience in VBA programming an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics an asset.
  • Experience with Inventor an asset.
