Wood is recruiting for an Offshore Project Engineer to join the team focusing on subsea projects within our Technical Consulting Division on a contract basis.
This role will be based in our Staines office with some hybrid working available.

The Role
This role encompasses management of offshore stakeholder relationships and third-party agreements. It involves coordinating readiness reviews, implementing knowledge management processes, and supporting overall project planning and compliance. The position also includes overseeing project delivery, integrating offshore units, and leading performance management, while ensuring cross-disciplinary coordination to meet client and stakeholder expectations.

Typical Responsibilities
- Offshore stakeholder management and coordination
- Management and delivery of 3rd party crossing and proximity agreements
- Award and coordination of the fisheries liaison contractor
- Coordinate and support the offshore activity readiness review process
- Design and implement an effective lessons learned and knowledge management process
- Participate in the development of project plans and compliance activities
- Supports wider project/package delivery and contractor oversight as/when risks or opportunities are identified
- Support the integration of subsea, subsurface, wells and wider full chain teams
- Supports the planning and leads the performance management of project activities, e.g. action tracking, MDR
- Performs the role of collaboration champion across the team and its key contractors
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical or subsea engineering
- Extensive experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of subsea engineering principles, subsea systems, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO)
- Proficiency in using subsea engineering software tools, such as subsea design and analysis software
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks, and deliver results within deadlines and budget constraints
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative and practical solutions to complex subsea engineering challenges
- Sound understanding of HSE regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment
Desirable:
- Chartered engineer status preferred
