Position Title: Lead Compliance & Continuous Improvement - Support
Location: Qatar
Job Purpose:
- Drive and facilitate compliance and continuous improvement processes for support functions (Finance, Procurement, HR, etc.).
- Develop and implement improvement strategies, define and analyze problems, and create solutions using appropriate methodologies.
Core Accountabilities:
Strategy Formulation and Implementation:
- Contribute to short- and medium-term strategies for Compliance and Continuous Improvement.
- Develop and monitor balanced scorecards and KPIs for support functions.
Compliance:
- Develop and implement compliance strategies, systems, and processes.
- Design and execute compliance awareness programs.
- Conduct compliance audits and develop corrective actions.
- Ensure continuous improvement of compliance practices.
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
- Develop and implement Continuous Improvement strategies, systems, and processes.
- Identify and analyze activities for improvement.
- Facilitate problem definition and gap analysis.
- Develop and implement improvement solutions.
- Prepare regular reports on improvement initiatives.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
Generic Accountabilities:
Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and implement unit policies and ensure alignment with company policies.
Safety, Quality, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices.
Nationalization:
- Support the development of national employees' capabilities.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Compliance with regulations and internal controls.
- Enhanced compliance effectiveness.
- Addressing compliance gaps and resolving non-compliance.
- Process, product, or service improvements.
- Cost savings from improvement initiatives.
- Benchmarking best practices.
- Creating continuous improvement awareness.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, or relevant disciplines.
- Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent preferred.
- Certified auditor preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years in a similar role, including lean methodologies.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is an advantage.
- Experience in Procurement & Contract, Finance, ICT, or Legal.
