Your role and responsibilities

In your function as an application technician (f/m/d) you will be responsible for the sampling of new and existing molds for internal and external production at Busch-Jaeger. You will accompany the tool procurement process from design to handover to production. You will work in a motivated team at the Bad Berleburg Aue site and report to the Head of Tool Engineering. • You will be involved in the creation of requirement specifications for new and replacement tools • Carry out sampling of new and existing tools in the thermoset and thermoplastic area on your own responsibility and ensure the associated documentation • Determine the optimal process parameters and coordinate necessary optimization measures with tool management • Hand over tools to production after approval or coordinate them with the necessary specialist departments • Lead technology development studies and drive forward the use of new innovative technologies

Qualifications for the role

• Completed training as a process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology and further training as a master craftsman or technician specializing in plastics technology
• Several years of professional experience in the processing of thermoplastics and thermosets
• Good IT skills in MS Office, SAP, ALS
• Independence and flexibility paired with a team-oriented, solution-oriented way of working and very good written and verbal communication skills
• Very good knowledge of German, good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Willingness for occasional business trips
