JOB DESCRIPTION

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety, and Environmental management
  • Maintain relevant HSE Logs
  • Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations
  • Prepare applicable HSE reports
  • Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and promote incident prevention
  • Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE Training
  • Observe HSE regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately, and report them to the proper personnel
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
  • Assist in formulating, implementing, maintaining basic policies and programs, and techniques necessary to achieve company goals and regulatory requirements related to safety and environmental issues
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with safety and environmental agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory issues
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with department managers and supervisors to provide for and ensure that employees receive training and development in promoting a safe and healthy working environment
  • Recognize potential HSE issues and monitor corrective action to prevent reoccurrence
  • Locate, consolidate, label, and store waste in accordance with governmental regulations, coordinate waste removal and disposal with qualified waste haulers and disposal sites as well as all relevant documentation
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current legislation by contacting external organizations and bodies to be familiar with new developments in HSE
  • Maintain an excellent driving record
  • Perform other work-related task as assigned


TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • Multi-facility oversight visits may be required.
  • Customer meetings and field site visits are routinely conducted.
  • Travel to customer sites is required frequently.


Experience Qualifications

  • A bachelor's Degree or certified training in the HSE field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HSE experience required
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and industry standards (NFPA, ASME, ANSI, etc.)
  • Oilfield experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office
