NOV's RFE Repair team is seeking a qualified Mechanical engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV equipment. As part of our aftermarket Repair group you will make recommendations to customers which ensures equipment continuously operates at efficient and profitable levels. As you will react to equipment down situations as top priority and support repair projects on products ranging from RFE. A strong foundation to your success in this role will be your ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and the ability to interrogate, make minor changes to and fault find on customer systems. You will utilise your existing experience of maintenance and servicing of RFE in varying environments

NOV's RFE Repair team is seeking a qualified Mechanical engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and inspection of NOV equipment. As part of our aftermarket Repair group you will make recommendations to customers which ensures equipment continuously operates at efficient and profitable levels. As you will react to equipment down situations as top priority and support repair projects on products ranging from RFE. You will utilise your existing experience of maintenance and servicing of RFE in varying environments
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service, repair, overhaul, inspect and identify faults on NOV RFE Equipment on a global basis
- Make recommendations on improving product and systems efficiency, maintaining continuous and high levels of operation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to identify and correct faults, redline drawings/schematics
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including Customers, Colleagues and other NOV entities
- Escalate key faults or product failures to relevant department and progress through to resolution
- Inspects NOV equipment for conformance with operational standards
- Respond to emergency calls for equipment down situations when required
- Collaborate with management, engineering, quality and HSE personnel to resolve problems with NOV equipment and recommend measures to improve the operation and condition of the equipment
- Where necessary, liaise closely with other operational teams to ensure continuous improvement of all systems and processes.
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect our industry
- Advise customers on the maintenance and upkeep of their NOV equipment as per the various manuals, Product Information Bulletins (PIB) drawing revision changes, software updates etc.
- Carry out fault finding, repair and recommendations in a timely manner without compromising safety or quality
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in the mechanical field, with expertise in assembling mechanical equipment. (Preferred)
- Hydraulic Knowledge: Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, including proficiency in working with hydraulic circuits. (Preferred)
SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Especially Excel)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics (Desirable)
- Experience with ERP Systems (e.g., Oracle, Tracker) is preferred.
- Oil and Gas Technical Knowledge (desirable)
- Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information and functional skills (Functional & technical)
