Your role and responsibilities

R&D Senior Engineer Contributes significantly to successful project results in LV Switchgear Configurator development as well as associated intellectual properties by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions. Uses unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks. Can act as the first line contact in R&D for the LV Switchgear Configurator related issues and maintenance. Responsibilities • Demonstrates solid competence in LV Switchgear Configuration by solving complex industrial problems, working independently, and with an ability to guide and mentor junior team members. • Gains acknowledgment as an expert in LV Switchgear Configuration by other members of the R&D organization. • Maintains recognized expertise LV Switchgear Configuration by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into their own work. • Leverages expertise in LV Switchgear Configuration to contribute innovative and creative ideas to various complex R&D assignments. • Acts as project leader or senior project member, providing experience in the execution and use of supporting tools, processes, and methods. • Leads LV Switchgear Configurator quality improvements. • Represents their team in relevant forums, internal and external to ABB, and makes comprehensive presentations. • Understands and initiates IP generation in LV Switchgear Configuration and participates in the project IP strategy development.

Qualifications for the role

• 6+ years' experience in LV Switchgear in multi-cultural R&D environment.
• Profound technical knowledge of LV switchgear systems and their application by customer across all market segments.
• Thorough understanding of the IEC and CCC standards.
• Assertiveness and ability to work in a team and cross-divisional as well as in a multi-layered matrix organization.
• Able to act on own initiative, having strong analytical skills, structured approach, and result orientation.
• University degree in field of Electrical Engineering.
• Fluent in English - both written and spoken.
