Function description
Provision of execution of commissioning and/ or trial operation of the Component including all associated services.
The scope of Services comprises in particular:
- active hands-on commissioning
- advise and support the Customer
- preparation and submission of red-lined documents subject to as-built updating which is limited to Contractor's own documents from the Operating Manual (TO) such as: operating instructions and piping & instrumentation diagrams.
- hand over as built software backup of programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- hand over keys for panels/ doors at the completion of commissioning
- If the regular commissioning works allow it, the Contractor's commissioning engineer will support maintenance activities for the Works under the guidance and responsibility of Customer
- Introduction of the scope of supply given to the Owner's personnel on Site
- troubleshooting and following up technical issues and deficiencies immediately and report to the Customer
- Support for detailed commissioning time schedule/ sequence and updates as required by Customer's Site management
- support of Customer's Site management in coordination of interfaces with other
contractors with Customers Site management
- participation in commissioning meetings on Site for coordination of the scope of Services as requested by Customer's Site management
- Any other services which are specified in or may reasonably be inferred from the Contract.
The Contractor shall immediately give instructions to the Customer if the Contractor considers that any action or omission of the Customer or of other contractors of the Customer or the contractors of the Customer's consortium partner is not in accordance with:
- the plans and documentation applicable to the execution of commissioning and/ or trial operation of the Component.
- operating, assembly, installation and erection instructions and/or
- any good industry practices and generally accepted industry standards.
Any such instruction shall be given in writing to the Customer
Furthermore, the Contractor shall immediately respond to the Customer to any question with respect to the Services and perform any other services which are specified in or may reasonable be inferred from this Contract.
The Customer's Site management shall be the contact for the Contractor's personnel and shall be authorized to issue directives on Site.
Before the commencement of any technical process or operation or hold point concerning the Services, the Contractor shall check whether all necessary preconditions have been fulfilled and whether the Services are suitable for the performance of the component and equipment.
The Services are completed when the Component has been completely installed and is commissioned and/ or tested as determined by the Customer.
