We are looking for a skilled and experienced Hydraulic and Pressure Control Equipment Engineer to lead the engineering, quality assurance, and technical project management of hydraulic power units and pressure control equipment such as choke manifolds. This role is essential to ensure the design, quality, and reliability of hydraulic and pressure control systems that meet industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of hydraulic control systems, pressure management equipment, and industry standards in the oil and gas sector or similar industries, managing all technical aspects from design review through testing and commissioning.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in hydraulics, mechanical systems, or project management are a plus.
Experience:
5+ years in building, testing, and commissioning hydraulic and pressure control equipment, ideally within oil and gas or a related industry.
Proficiency in hydraulic control systems, with hands-on experience in hydraulic power units and pressure management systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and P&IDs.
Familiarity with standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and certifying authorities such as DNV and ABS.
Deep knowledge of hydraulic control systems, components, and applications in high-pressure equipment.
Project Management Skills:
Experience in vendor assessment, procurement, and technical project management.
Proven ability to oversee technical aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring high quality and compliance.
Additional Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
A proactive approach to identifying technical and project challenges, with a focus on implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee engineering activities related to hydraulic power units and pressure control equipment, such as choke manifolds.
- Conduct reviews of engineering drawings to ensure adherence to project specifications, functionality, and quality standards.
- Approve hydraulic schematics and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), verifying completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and address any potential gaps, inconsistencies, or necessary improvements in drawings and schematics.
Vendor Assessment and Technical Project Management:
- Evaluate vendor capabilities to ensure alignment with technical project requirements and industry standards.
- Manage the technical aspects of the project, coordinating with vendors to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure timely, compliant deliverables.
- Work closely with procurement and vendor teams to ensure materials and components meet technical specifications.
Documentation and Spare Parts Management:
- Create and maintain spare parts lists for hydraulic power units and pressure control assemblies, encompassing mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Review and organize documentation to ensure it meets technical specifications and is complete for maintenance and operational purposes.
Standards Compliance and Approval Processes:
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, and certifications from DNV and ABS.
- Oversee compliance processes, confirming that design, engineering, and documentation meet all required standards.
Technical Expertise and Quality Control:
- Apply expertise in hydraulic control systems, including proportional and directional control valves, hydraulic hoses, fluids, and fittings.
- Lead quality control efforts, including testing and commissioning, to ensure compliance with mechanical and hydraulic standards.
- Provide problem-solving support and technical guidance through the engineering, assembly, testing, and commissioning stages.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements and project timelines.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that technical deliverables meet specifications and project milestones.
