Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for Service Execution & project work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB The work model for this role (onsite) This role is contributing to Process Automation Area based in Qatar, Doha. You will be mainly accountable for: Service delivering: Performing field service tasks Identifying technical problems and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. Coaching associate technicians and associate engineers Customer approach : Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing Clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility. Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experiences and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. While on-site, working with the customer to identify opportunities for improving the customers operations and eliminating pain points. Utilizing the local practices for notifying the account team of opportunities. Materials and supply: Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensures that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities. Documentation and reports: Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative Utilizing all relevant tools Reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed. Troubleshooting : Troubleshooting Equipment/Process failures and requests proactive corrective actions and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future Operational excellence: Proactively planning and executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality. Identifying improvement needs and potential solutions for them in the way of working. . Health, safety and integrity: Actively ensuring that HSE practices are of high standard Working to eliminate unsafe practices and incidents. Processes and Tools: Consistently applying functional processes considering links to other teams.

Qualifications for the role
- Minimum 5 years' experience in ABB system 800xA power management system (PMS) with Integration of IEC61850 Devices, application development with PMS specific libraries - project & commissioning
- Experience in ABB system 800xA and Working knowledge / skillset in industrial communication protocols like IEC104, Modbus- RTU & TCP, OPC, IEC61131 etc.
- Working knowledge in Substation automation system / ABB legacy systems
- Experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration
- ICS Cybersecurity competence is an added advantage
