We are looking for an Sr Advanced Wireless/RF Engineer with expertise in RF design and electronics to join our Advanced Technology team. KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Design, develop, and test advanced RF and wireless systems, including antennas, transceivers, and RF subsystems for Aerospace applications.
• Research and demonstrate cutting-edge sensor concepts, transforming innovative ideas into practical prototypes.
• Lead technical efforts to create and implement software/hardware prototypes for next-generation sensor technologies.
• Provide technical expertise across advanced sensor programs, ensuring designs meet rigorous performance, size, power, and cost requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers, partners, and stakeholders to align project goals and deliverables.
• Prepare and present proposals for new concepts, technologies, and government-funded R&D opportunities.
• Perform detailed analysis, modeling, and simulation to validate RF designs and optimize performance.
• Support the transition of new technologies from research and development phases into production-ready solutions.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of RF systems into larger Aerospace platforms.
• Stay informed about emerging RF technologies, contributing innovative ideas to enhance future Aerospace products.
• Act as a technical lead on R&D projects, managing complex customer requirements and project deliverables.
YOU MUST HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 6+ years of experience with next-generation radar, satellite transceivers, radios, antennas, or RF subsystems.
WE VALUE:
• Master or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or other related technical discipline.
• Prior experience working on government R&D projects from DARPA, DOD, NASA; Homeland Security; or classified U.S. government agencies.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Wireless Power and RF technologies.
• Initiative to identify and complete tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction.
• Demonstrated ability to trade performance, size, power & cost to meet challenging customer SWaP goals.
• Experience with RF Design, magnetodielectric material, High-Index Antennas, and applied research is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies and engaging in complex technical problems.
• Ability to work directly with sponsors and customers.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Track record of innovation and ability to solve complex problems through analysis and innovation.
• Broad laboratory skills.
• Broad software toolbox for data acquisition, data analysis, design, modeling, and/or simulation.
• Manage and understand complex customer requirements and manage stakeholders.
