Role Title: Senior Engineer - Grid Solutions

Location: Brisbane, QLD

Overview of Role:

This position supports engineering teams throughout the development and operation of various energy projects. The successful candidate will focus on power systems modeling and grid connection processes across multiple stages of energy project lifecycles.

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance automation tools for system modeling and connection studies.
• Prepare and manage grid connection snapshots for operational scenarios.
• Carry out power system analysis during pre- and post-connection phases.
• Collaborate with contractors and manufacturers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Lead the drafting and approval of technical reports and validation studies.
• Provide expertise in Generator Performance Standards (GPS) negotiations and model validation.
• Assist with harmonics assessments and power system improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• Experience: 5+ years in grid-related engineering roles.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in system modeling tools (PowerFactory, PSCAD, etc.), and a thorough understanding of relevant national regulations.
• Additional: Ability to manage technical negotiations and handle complex grid integration issues.
