Thermal Engineer (m/f/d) Control Subsystem

Your Tasks

  • Design and development of thermal control systems
  • Conceptual design, sizing, verification and validation of thermal control systems according to customer requirements and feasibility with regard to manufacturing, integration, cost, schedule, quality and risk
  • Hardware definition based on the chosen thermal control design solutions and product ownership during implementation and verification
  • Support of reviews (from system to equipment level) and presentation of work results to internal and external customers
  • Technical supervision of thermal hardware subcontractors and support to the subcontractor manager
  • Support of system engineers during design, development and implementation at system and subsystem level
  • Support of project management office with work planning and progress reporting
  • Technical supervision of a team for the thermal control subsystem
  • Performing case by case thermal analysis

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering with a major in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience in space thermal subsystem engineering
  • Experience in the design of thermal control systems and analysis for spacecraft
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High motivation and proactive involvement
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (preferably English and German)
  • Experience in subcontractor management
  • Knowledge of thermal analysis software
  • Used to work in an international environment
