Summary of Position:

This position is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of assigned oil, gas, and water Pipelines, including the identification of problems or potential problems by performing DOT inspections and AVO's; documentation and reporting; and the repair, or assistance in the repair of equipment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitors cathodic protection systems.
  • Maintain pigging operation schedules.
  • Patrols pipeline routinely and advises of needed repairs.
  • Monitor pipeline pressures.
  • Knowledgeable on safely performing hydrate procedures.
  • Prepare documentation and pigging/pipeline reports on a daily basis.
  • Pig oil, gas, and water lines daily.
  • Monitor and document pipeline Oxygen levels.
  • Provide on-call support for areas of responsibility on rotating basis.
  • Work in all weather conditions including rain, snow, mud, etc. - work is performed in hazardous driving and working conditions all seasons of the year.
  • Operate a vehicle safely in all weather conditions to drive to oil and gas equipment located in rural/open range country.
  • Provide coverage of Compression Operators on a periodic basis.
  • Provide all necessary departments with ongoing and accurate operational updates pertaining to pipeline operations.
  • On-the-job education of maintenance, integrity, and compliance duties - take initiative to understand details around the jobs being scheduled and reviewed.
  • Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with CIVI Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven understanding and adherence to workplace safety protocols and practices.
  • Demonstrates a proactive problem-solving approach, actively seeking solutions and overcoming obstacles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent additional technical certifications or training in pipeline operations preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in pigging and pipeline operations.
  • Able to navigate and utilize common computer systems and applications effectively.
  • Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Proficient in using tools, equipment, and technology related to pipeline inspection, maintenance, and repair.
  • Basic Hazwoper incident command training preferred.
  • Some knowledge in compression and related issues in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

  • Travel is required to the Civitas field locations.

Base Pay Range: $76,000 - $81,000
